Dir Human Resources II (Agriculture)



The Director, HR is a critical member of the MGX Equipment Services team with responsibility as a strategic advisor and driver of labor, talent, and culture initiatives to deliver business results, e.g., training & development, succession planning, performance management, recruiting, employee engagement, employee and labor relations, compliance, and workforce planning/analytics. The role reports to the VP, GM of MGX. This person is responsible for the HR Activities at all US MGX sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support business leaders to reach targets and fulfill Company strategy. Anticipate and implement organizational changes. Planning & execution of Recruiting and staffing. Conduct exit interviews and monitor turnover.  Develop and implement programs and processes to improve retention.
  • Manage employee performance, career and development plans by leveraging Company tools, as well as driving and supporting Managers. Responsible for leading succession planning for MGX.
  • Create and implement action plans to motivate, engage and retain employees with particular focus on key talents. Coach Managers on people management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Uphold and promote compliance with all company policies - Interpret and execute policies, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies. -Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning. Conduct investigations and provide disciplinary guidance.
  • Design and coordinate training initiatives and training plan fulfilment.
  • Organization Administration - ensure organization structure is accurate including organization charts, job descriptions and titles. Coordinate job movement within the organization.
  • Organize, staff, motivate and lead a highly effective HR team that delivers value to the organization with expert recruiting, training and development, succession planning and other human capital activities. Provide HR leadership and direction for US sites, supporting and guiding local HR presence. Guarantee correct delivery of payroll and all administrative tasks connected to human resources management.
  • Annual & mid-year salary planning. STIP administration. Research and recommend market rate adjustments for production hourly employees.

  • Excellent presentation and communication/skills, and overall business acumen.
  • Broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws, investigation skills, HR technical knowledge in EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment and worker's compensation.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Labor Relations.
  • Min 5 years of HR Leadership Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Advanced HR Certification e.g.,PHR or SPHR designation
  • Prior experience in equipment distribution or rental

Work Environment: 

  • Office and factory setting

Travel Required:

  • 30% Domestic
