Sr Product Mfg Engineer (Finance)



Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Projects Team-a strategic group embedded within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) organization. This team partners with our core RLG and IMU manufacturing engineering groups to deliver high-impact initiatives in yield improvement, automation, process modernization, and capacity expansion.

In this role, you'll help shape the future of Ring Laser Gyroscope (RLG) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) production capabilities, leading cross-functional projects that span development, planning, and deployment. You'll collaborate across engineering, test, quality, and operations to deliver robust, scalable solutions that enhance performance and accelerate throughput.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects focused on yield improvement, automation, process modernization, and capacity expansion for RLG and IMU production.
• Define, scope, and manage project plans from concept through deployment, including cost, schedule, and resource planning.
• Collaborate closely with AME teams to align with long-term manufacturing and test strategy roadmaps.
• Identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and digital tools to improve production outcomes.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action efforts tied to yield and process capability issues.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality, safety, and regulatory standards throughout all initiatives.

The annual base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $129,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers. You will report directly to our Director of Manufacturing Engineering and you'll work out of our Minneapolis MN location on a On-site, work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Optical Engineering (advanced degrees preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering, supporting complex electro-mechanical, electronics or optical systems.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects through full lifecycle (scope, cost, schedule, implementation).
• Track record of success in yield improvement and advanced manufacturing deployment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and other aerospace/defense regulatory frameworks.

WE VALUE

• Direct experience with inertial navigation systems or sensors (RLGs/IMUs).
• Hands-on exposure to precision optical alignment, optics handling, mirror manufacturing, and cleanroom assembly processes.
• Familiarity with automation and controls technologies and integration with manufacturing systems.
• Experience supporting government/defense programs, including quality audits and controlled documentation environments.
• Proficiency with Six Sigma tools; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
