Warehouse Operations Intern (Finance)



Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team and support the day-to-day functions of our Lexington, Winchester, and Maysville facilities. This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple departments-including Warehouse, Production, Quality, Maintenance, as well as the Beverage Business-with the goal of enhancing overall operational performance.

Essential Functions

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the functions and workflows within each department: Warehouse, Production, Quality, Maintenance within the Beverage Business.
  • Shadow department managers and team members to learn about daily operations, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with department managers to support ongoing initiatives and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
  • Be assigned to manage individualprojects within each department, aimed at improving efficiency, safety, quality, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Present project outcomes and improvement recommendations to leadership teams at the conclusion of each departmental rotation.
  • Assist in documentation, process mapping, and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations to understand the broader business operations.

Education Level
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel between the three facility locations as needed.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
