Front Of House Manager (Project Management)
The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the guest experience in a restaurant establishment. This includes managing the front-of-house staff, ensuring efficient and friendly service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, train, and schedule front-of-house staff, including hosts/hostesses, servers, bartenders, and other customer-facing employees.Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.Ensure staff adhere to dress codes and grooming standards.Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance as pertains to restaurant employees and operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership and team-building abilities.Knowledge of food and beverage service and industry trends.Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education and Experience:
Toast experience is required.A high school diploma or equivalent is required.Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hospitality industry.
