Director of Operations (Project Management)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Distribution Center Operations to lead our Maumelle, AR facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of distribution center operations, including order fulfillment, production, inventory management, safety, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a high-performance culture.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
    Oversee daily distribution center operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and production. Plan, lead, and measure all operational processes to meet performance targets.

  • Human Resources Management:
    Lead all local HR functions including staffing, performance management, compensation, and employee development. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

  • Capital and Asset Management:
    Manage all capital assets assigned to the distribution center, ensuring efficient utilization and appropriate return on investment.

  • Inventory and Materials Handling:
    Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and movement of materials. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accuracy and availability.

  • Customer and Contract Support:
    Support contract negotiations for new business opportunities. Respond promptly to service issues and customer concerns. Conduct site visits to key accounts to strengthen relationships.

  • Safety and Compliance:
    Promote and enforce safe work practices. Monitor team activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping protocols.

  • Equipment and Fleet Oversight:
    Supervise the maintenance of warehouse equipment and the private truck fleet to ensure operational readiness and safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a distribution center environment.

  • At least 5 years of management experience, including hiring and developing supervisors, support staff, and warehouse associates.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

  • Availability to work early and late shifts, including weekends at least once per month.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (32°F – 95°F)

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
