Role Summary

The Lane Administrator plays a key role in supporting the operational success of a large automotive account by ensuring that day-to-day execution aligns with account expectations, pricing strategy, and SOP compliance. This position is central to monitoring performance across all active lanes, identifying process gaps, and supporting the team in driving continuous improvement.

Acting as a bridge between data and action, the Lane Administrator tracks key performance indicators, reinforces SOP adherence, and collaborates with support representatives to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistent service. They are expected to bring a proactive mindset to account operations—spotting risks early, supporting cross-functional workflows, and helping keep the account compliant and profitable.

This role also involves hands-on support for internal systems, documentation, and process optimization. The Lane Administrator should be comfortable interpreting operational data, offering recommendations, and providing day-to-day guidance to support associates and carrier reps across the account.

Role Responsibilities

▪ Monitor account performance metrics and identify areas for improvement

▪ Review team activity for alignment with SOPs and operational standards

▪ Track pricing and volume trends across assigned lanes and communicate insights to leadership

▪ Support the execution of account-critical processes, including billing, documentation, and system updates

▪ Collaborate with Carrier Sales, Admin, and Support teams to ensure consistency across workstreams

▪ Reinforce best practices through on-the-ground coaching and clarification of expectations

▪ Help onboard and support new hires through training and resource sharing

▪ Recommend updates or process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce errors

▪ Act as a reference point for Ford-specific workflows and exception handling

Qualifications

Role Requirements

▪ Familiarity with account SOPs and key operational systems

▪ Strong organizational and follow-through skills

▪ Clear, proactive communication with internal teams and external partners

▪ Minimum 3+ days in the office each week

▪ Experience in logistics, account support, or process coordination preferred

▪ Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

▪ Comfort working with operational reports, pricing data, and documentation tools
