Civil Engineer, PE (Finance)

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil PE with strong technical design experience and deep knowledge of the New York market. This role focuses on a wide range of site/civil infrastructure projects, including site development, utilities, grading, stormwater management, and horizontal design. Flexibility to work remotely when traveling is available, but candidates must be local experts.

Your Role:
- Lead and support site/civil design for land development and public infrastructure projects, including grading, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and site layout
- Produce and review construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for horizontal alignments, site design, surface modeling, and plan production
- Support stormwater modeling and permitting efforts in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines for fully integrated design packages
- Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers and provide QA/QC on project deliverables
- Participate in client meetings and maintain positive working relationships with municipal and private-sector clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
- 8-10 years of experience in civil/site design (urban infill, commercial, institutional, or municipal)
- Proficient in Civil 3D (surface creation, alignments, profiles, grading, and utility design)
- Working knowledge of stormwater modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD, ICPR, PCSWMM, or similar)
- Familiarity with site permitting processes and NY design codes
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
- Must be currently based in or deeply familiar with the New York market
NY Salary: $80,000 - $166,000 dependent on experience.
