Dialysis Nurse Manager (Healthcare)
Tri-State Dialysis is a growing company based in Dubuque Iowa with locations in Dubuque IA, Manchester IA, Platteville WI and Richland Center WI.
We are seeking a full-time Dialysis Nurse Manager (Unit Manager) to join our team at our Manchester, IA location. This position provides clinical leadership to all staff working in the hemodialysis unit. The Dialysis Nurse Manager assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care of the patients with the assistance of the Director of Dialysis and Medical Director. This position also assumes the role of leader, educator, caregiver, and preceptor in the provisioning of nursing care.
This position will work 4 days per week MWF in clinic plus 1 additional day either in clinic or remote.
Essential duties:
Supervise and coordinate activities of all technical and nursing staff to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care.Provide direct patient care when deemed appropriate.Manage selection, training and development, performance evaluation and performance issues for department employees. Prepare schedule and assign work to assure effective and efficient staffing levels to deliver a high level of customer/patient service.Maintains familiarity with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) ESRD conditions for coverage and participates in the development of updating policies or procedures to reflect current CMS regulations.Participates as an active member in the End Stage Renal Network and various compliance or ad hoc committees of the companyMaintains surveillance for hepatitis control and other infectious agents for patients and staff in the unit.Conducts and investigates daily water checks or water cultures.Uses personal protection safety equipment and trains team on expectations as appropriateMaintains strict confidentiality regarding the patients, company, and employees.
Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited school of nursing for Registered NursesMinimum of 1 year professional nursing experience in a clinical setting plus 6 months in a hemodialysis settingOne year of supervisory level experience preferredMust be licensed RN with active license in the stat of Iowa, BSN preferredCertified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) preferredBasic Life Support (BLS)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
