The Medical Physicist in collaboration with other members of the medical team has the primary responsibility for the technical aspects of clinical treatment provided through the radiation therapy department. Collaborates with Medical Staff in developing the course of treatment, clinical documentation, and review of outcomes.Minimum Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of Medical Physics and Board Certification/Eligibility in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor.

Minimum of five years of experience in Medical Physics and completed CAMPEP Residency Program

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of seven years of direct experience in Therapeutic Medical Physics

Performs verification checks and applies quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy of dose calculations. Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
