Senior Security Specialist, Northeast Region (Finance)



The Senior Security Specialist of Global Security North will contribute to the overall company security function for the Northeast Region, including policy development and implementation, to ensure the protection of the company's assets and its employees.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts assigned Global Security surveys and investigations for all lines of business and/or manages such investigations and surveys conducted by contract personnel.
  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of plans and procedures for the protection of key human resources in the office and at home, or when conducting company business outside of the office as required, including completion of advance protective surveys, protective plans, investigations of known or perceived threats, and management of protective resources.
  • Is prepared to travel domestically or internationally to perform the above protective responsibilities.
  • Manages investigations regarding employee safety and the protection of company assets.
  • Assists in the development and dissemination of security awareness programs to educate employees regarding their safety and the protection of company assets.
  • Remains abreast of new technology and trends in the field of security (electronic security, access control, intrusion detection, fire protection systems, etc.) and/or practices that could enhance security or reduce costs.
  • Is familiar with investigations surrounding the use of social media and social engineering.
  • Prepares criminal information, indictments, and other legal documents and renders testimony in court to support the security needs of the company.
  • Plans, manages or conducts armed and/or unarmed protection of key company human resources.
  • Maintains close liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement and judicial officials in support of the security and business interests of the company.
  • Serves as the internal liaison with Legal, Safety, Audit, Medical and Risk Management departments on security-related matters.
  • While working abroad, will often act as the sole company security representative while interfacing with all levels of company officials as well as U.S. and foreign government officials and vendors of security equipment and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree. Major area of study in business administration, criminal justice or security management is preferred.
  • At least 15 years experience in law enforcement or the military
  • Required experience to include the performing criminal investigations, executing arrest and search warrants, and performing executive protection.
  • International security experience preferred.
  • Ability to function independently and to perform security related tasks with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of investigative and interview techniques and laws relating to evidence, civil rights and search and seizure.
  • Skilled in the protection of executives, security transportation and logistics planning.
  • Excellent negotiations and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • This role requires approximately 35% travel.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
