Manager, Finance (Travel and Entertainment) (Finance)

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Lead a team of Travel & Entertainment analysts in performing daily activities including but not limited to: Concur user support; developing T&E reporting and analytics; monitoring for corporate card policy compliance and fraud risk; and various accounting and administrative tasks
  • Develop and oversee process improvements that drive cost savings, cost avoidance, enhanced business outcomes and improved service levels in the area of corporate cards and travel
  • Conduct ongoing analysis to identify and implement ideas for travel and corporate card cost reduction and process improvement
  • Assist as a card program administrator and ensure that cardholder user experience with Concur system is simple and user-friendly and results in accurate back-end reporting
  • Develop and leverage cross-functional relationships to maintain Concur system functionality
  • Manage relationships with all T&E vendors and partner with Procurement on sourcing and negotiations
  • Drive cardholder accountability by creating transparent and accessible reporting in BI and by generating educational materials and trainings for cardholders
  • Develop and measure KPI's to drive leadership accountability around T&E spending
  • Develop and monitor controls for card issuance and card limits
  • Develop and implement training on, and ensure compliance with, the global T&E policy
  • Own development, implementation, and configuration of cloud-based applications and system integrations related to the corporate card and expense programs (Concur experience is a plus)
  • Develop and/or assess internal controls and risks to drive the continuous improvement of corporate policies, procedures, and training manuals for expense reporting and corporate credit cards
  • Support audits, both internal and external, providing required audit evidence and necessary research
  • Actively work to strengthen controls and simplify processes throughout the T&E function
  • Manage a full project life cycle with limited direction

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role, with progressive leadership experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP Concur
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to various user groups effectively
  • Ability to think critically and leverage available resources to troubleshoot reporting issues and data anomalies
  • Strong drive to seek continuous improvement in reports and processes during companywide growth and expansion
It'd be great if you also have:
  • Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration
  • CPA, CMA, CFA or applicable professional designation
  • Experience working with BI
