We are looking for a Senior Construction Project Engineer to help with a variety of daily assignments while assisting the project team in the successful completion of multiple projects. Our dedicated professionals provide quality and value for our customers, profitability for our investors and a lasting contribution to the community.
This position is located in: Santa Ana, CA

Responsibilities:
· Understand the scope of work at a granular level, e.g., where specific details, specifications or shop drawings may be located.
· Assist Project Manager with document control and data entry relative to change management in company prescribed format.
· Assure that the prime contract and all changes are executed and properly stored.
· Assist Project Manager with initial budget setup and budget revisions in company prescribed format.
· Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with schedule preparation and maintenance. Disseminate schedule updates to subcontractors and other relevant supply chain members. Prepare reports and information as requested.
· Assist project manager with buyouts, purchase orders, subcontractor scopes, etc. Work closely with clients, vendors, sub-contractors and employees; ensuring exceptional customer service and quality at all times.
· Granular level submittal, sample, mock-ups, and shop drawing preparation and review, both self-perform and subcontractor. Create and maintain accurate submittal log in company prescribed format.
· Supervise the management of material tracking (procurement).
· Granular level RFI preparation, review and submittal in company prescribed format. Responsible for distributing all relevant RFI replies to concerned parties. Assure that all responses are incorporated into project documents.
· Maintain plans and specifications record set in company prescribed format and responsible for distributing all project related documents to relevant parties.
· Assure that all crews and subcontractors are working with the most current set of project plans, specifications and submittals.
· Assist in processing billings and managing schedule of values
· Assist project manager with meeting documentation in company prescribed format. Organize meetings with subs, suppliers and other project stakeholders
· Assist with writing subcontracts, particularly scope exhibits. Manage subcontractor changes, monthly billings and all required submittals, samples and shop drawings.
· Assist Project Manager with senior management reports. Prepare and distribute on demand reports relative to contract documents, submittal status, and RFI status.
· Assure that all administrative and supply chain obstacles are managed such as not delay the progress of the work in the field. The Project Engineer should know the details of the project better than any other team member.
· Prepare and maintain all safety related project documentations (MSDS, IIPP packages, etc.)
· Assure that subcontractors as complying with project and company quality requirements. Manage any defective or substandard work.
· Responsible for final preparation and presentation of all closeout deliverables.
· Support Project Manager on any special case best practices and processes. Ensure the vision and direction of the division is aligned with company's core values.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer, preferably in the landscape industry
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore)
· Strong work ethic
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
· Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
