Senior Research Associate - Neurology (Stroke) (Finance)
UTHealth Houston's Neurology department is hiring a full-time, benefits-eligible Senior Research Associate in Stroke Research. The Senior RA will be essential to advancing high-impact studies in stroke epidemiology, neuroimaging, and AI-driven clinical outcome prediction. This role will provide critical leadership in data analysis, manuscript authorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring the timely dissemination of novel findings. With the growing complexity of stroke research, a specialized researcher is needed to drive innovation, secure funding, and strengthen the university's position as a leader in the field.
This position is funded by grants that comprise 50% or more of the funding. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of funding for this position. Your employment may end upon the cancellation or discontinuation of the project, program or funding.

Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Considerable knowledge in basic and sophisticated equipment.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field with four (4) years of related research experience including significant experience in a project management research role; or
Master's degree in related field with two (2) years of related research experience including significant experience in a project management research role; or
Doctorate degree.
Minimum Experience:
Years of experience varies based on education level.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
