Managing Director/Senior Director - Strategic Institutional Accounts Group, Business Relationship Manager

Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Managing/Senior Director for the Strategic Institutional Accounts Group (SIAG) Business Development/Relationship Manager based out of our New York office.

The group will work in partnership with Business and Relationship Management teams across all sectors targeting top asset managers and capital owners with a specific focus on identifying and pursuing revenue generating opportunities across Private Credit (public and private ratings originated from private credit lenders or investors) and traditional public transactions across their broader platforms.

  • Building and maintaining influential relationships in the Private Credit and Structured Finance sector.

We'll Count on You To:

  • Show leadership and initiative in developing the strategy to grow Private Credit
  • Coach and lead a high performance Private Credit origination team
  • Efforts shall be focused on developing new and enhancing existing relationships with professionals across each of the Strategic Accounts, ultimately leading to new ratings mandates, revenue opportunities and dialogue across the fixed income capital markets.
  • Work closely with BRM colleagues who specialize in the product sectors that are targeted and who are product sector experts; coordinate BRM outreach amongst regional and product teams with target firm personnel and pursuit of opportunities; arrange senior level relationship meetings.
  • Possess full institutional knowledge of target accounts including business platforms, funds, ratings requirements, strategies, new asset generation, org. charts, key personnel, etc.; keep inventory of all relationship touch points, opportunities reviewed, missed, and completed.
  • Actively support Fitch initiatives including Private Credit, promoting Fitch's opinions, criteria, research, and products.

What You Need to Have:

  • A college degree
  • Minimum 12+ years' experience preferably capital markets, coverage banker or a rating agency, with a preference for candidates with a current network of existing relationships and experience in Structured Finance and/or Large Asset Management Firms including Alt/PE Firms.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to travel as required

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience within within Structured Finance and/or Infrastructure Finance, especially origination of new business.
  • Experience within Private Credit
  • Existing relationships and/or experience with large asset managers, insurance companies and private equity firms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with financial data systems like Bloomberg.
  • An energetic, proactive approach and the willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $250,000.00 and $300,000.00 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
