Vice President - Nuclear Weapons Programs (Finance)



Summary

Reporting to the President, this position drives the strategic positioning for the Directed Stockpile (Portion of the FM&T Enterprise across both the US and UK). In addition, it is responsible to create and realize development opportunities within established and new markets and customers. Responsible for directing all programmatic aspects of the Directed Stockpile business to include revenue targets of $1.2B with targeted growth of 5% year over year. Develops customer relationships, understands markets and customer requirements within the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) responsibility, and creates opportunities by matching Honeywell International (HON) capabilities to customer needs. Aligns internal and external resources and activities to sustain the business, meet customer commitments and add growth articulated in the Strategic Plan (STRAP) and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Responsible for providing the vision and execution of business processes which impact all customer interactions, business strategies, organic growth, and external communications for the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drives the vision and strategic execution including interacting with HON and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to bring best practices to business strategy development and manage the execution of those business strategies within the Directed Stockpile business segment.
  • Leads Directed Stockpile activities, including creating the business processes and infrastructure required to sustain planned growth and to ensure integration with all other business processes and functions.
  • Leads significant strategic initiatives that influence customer perceptions and the future of Directed Stockpile business segment.
  • Directs weapons enterprise integration through specific projects and interactions with other Nuclear Weapons sites to further the interests and effectiveness of the NNSA.
  • Responsible for providing the strategic direction for the Directed Stockpile business segment, promoting capabilities, defining value proposition, and identifying targeted audiences and customer profiles.
  • Identifies adjacencies, pull-through opportunities, and white-space for business growth to inform AOP and STRAP development.
  • Establishes strategic vision informed by customer needs/strategy and leads business growth across functional boundaries.
  • Responsible for leadership, direction, talent acquisition, development, and retention of the Directed Stockpile team across customers and accounts.
  • Accountable for the execution of monthly milestone plans, goals, and objectives for the team.
  • Accountable for ensuring achievement of Directed Stockpile AOP, growth and revenue targets.
  • Assigns meaningful and challenging targets to ensure business objectives are met, tracks progress against targets, and ensures corrective action is executed to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Works across Business and Functions to ensure customer commitments are met.

You Must Have

  • Master's degree in engineering, marketing, or business management.
  • 15 or more years progressive experience in aerospace/defense business sales, technical, marketing, business development, program management or other related area
  • 10 Years of experiencein directly managing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large growth opportunities (>$10M).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

  • Defense marketing/sales experience preferred, knowledge of NNSA/DOE and government rules and regulations regarding sales preferred.
  • Financial acumen and business strategy expertise to make and/or recommend large scale business direction decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit while having ability to work through existing matrixed environment; demonstrated strength in influencing skills both internally to Honeywell, and amongst industry leaders, high level Military customers and Capitol Hill.
  • Working knowledge of business and financial fundamentals (Profit & Loss, Investment Analysis, Green Sheet).
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certified.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with all levels of management and customers and to work with stakeholders and team members at all levels of the business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • Self-starter; driven to achieve goals and objectives, proven relationships with customers.
