Attachment Order Specialist (Administrative)

The Attachment Order Specialist initiates orders to manufacturers for new attachment inventory, and process all documentation relative to same including transportation, pricing, record keeping and payment of invoices in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Pay Rate:  $18.53 - $26.56 per hour
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. 

Essential Functions:

  • Tracks all new attachments on order to ensure receipt on a timely basis
  • Sets up and maintains inventory control records on computer system for new attachments
  • Approves and ensures timely payment of invoices from the manufacturer for new attachments 
  • Assists with the reconciliation of inventory records with Attachment Inventory Supervisor and Accounting department
  • Updates computer daily with order ship date information
  • Assists with creating, copying and distributing weekly and monthly reports
  • File work tool exceptions with Caterpillar
  • Assists Attachment Inventory Supervisor and Shop Coordinator with inventory transfers
  • Provides assistance to Sales Managers, Sales Inventory Analyst and Attachment Inventory Coordinator with special projects on an as-needed basis
  • Assist sales force with work tool needs
  • Assist with Sales Department phones as needed
  • Initiates orders for new attachment inventory from manufacturers
  • Arranges transportation for all new attachment items from manufacturer to Wagner, expediting shipments as needed
  • Manages any freight claims
  • Manages claims and inventory returns
  • Makes attachment order changes to vendors and responds in a timely accurate manner to vendor acknowledgements
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years purchasing or inventory management experience preferred
  • 1+ years administrative/clerical experience

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Operation of 10-key adding machine and calculator
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and related attachments
  • Accounting Skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Safety & Product Knowledge

Work Environment:

  • Noise: Quiet
  • Indoors
