Director, Global Travel Partnerships - Travel Management Companies (Finance)

As a Director, Global Travel Partnerships , you will oversee a portfolio of global travel management companies, implementing commercial strategies to increase revenue with a relentless focus on growing market share, reporting to the Executive Director, Travel Partners.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead negotiations and establish commercial agreement terms with Travel Management Companies within your roster of accounts.
  • Develop business plans to optimize global agreements, driving incremental revenue and market share.
  • Align with parties on successful execution of the plan.

Account Management
  • Lead all commercial activities for assigned TMC accounts delivering and exceeding performance targets.
  • Utilize marketing funds to maximize return on investment and deliver incremental value.

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

Strategic Leadership

  • Deliver the global strategy to Hilton TMC Director peer group within the EMEA, APAC and CALA regions.
  • Determine the disbursement of regional funds that enable sales and marketing activities in each region to support the global partnership.
  • Leverage all GTP processes, levers (e.g. marketing, business intelligence, TA loyalty program, etc.) and resources to increase the value of the TMC partnerships in region.

Data Driven Decision-Making
  • Use data to assess performance, adjust your strategy, and achieve your goals.

Career development
  • Explore additional learning and development opportunities available through Hilton University and industry events when possible.

Administrative and organizational tasks
  • Complete departmental processes and ad-hoc requests.
  • Support other departmental requests for information and education related to TMCs.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years of overall work experience
  • Eight (8) years of professional hospitality experience in the travel industry/corporate hotel sales
  • Two (2) years of experience in account management
  • One to three (1-3) years of managerial experience
  • 30% travel, including international destinations

It would be useful if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality
  • Distribution channel (e.g.- GDS) experience
  • Agency booking platforms experience
