Warehouse Associate II (Information Technology)



Position Summary: This position is on a rotation basis. This position encompasses different roles in order to expose employees to new knowledge, skills and perspectives. For employees growth and longevity here Baldor, it is necessary to learn all roles and functions of the Warehouse. Warehouse Associate II is a trainable position, which helps shape employees into the more complex roles within Receiving, Order Selection, Bin Audit, and Quality Control.

The rotation is as follows:

FC Picker FC Receiver Bin Audit Jr. Receiver Quality Control

*Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to work in various temperatures, freezer (-35), grocery, and cooler (30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit).Must be able to stand for long hours. (10 hours min.)Must be to bend, twist, climb, and lift 5 to 20 lbs. constantly, 15 to 30 lbs. frequently, and 30 to 50 lbs. occasionallyMust be able to stand and walk 7 to 10 hours per dayMust be able to work six days per week and sometimes a shift with over twelve hoursMust be able to work a rotational schedule with mandatory overtimeMust have a clear understanding of HACCP, GMP, and OSHA guidelines in order to work safely and efficiently

* Position Duties and Responsibilities:
FC PICKERoMust be able to interpret instructions from WMS and RF devices to accurately and efficiently pick ordersoMust have a clear and thorough understanding of GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations in order to complete work in a safe, compliant, and efficient manneroMust have a good understanding of produce product knowledge in order to accurately identify productoOperate warehouse equipment in a secure and considerate manneroMaintain sanitation standardsoMust be watchful of warehouse conditions by observing, reporting, and correcting all hazardous and unclean conditions that could cause a co-worker or client accidentoCapable of examining and inspecting stock items for accuracyoProperly maintains merchandise in stock locationoReports damages to supervisoroAble to maintain an average pick rate of 100 cases per houroPerforms visual and operational vehicle security inspectionsoSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoWork with Fresh Cuts Department to accurately pick ordersoUnderstands how to build a proper pallet, following GMP and HACCP StandardsoMust be able to build pallets proactively to prevent product damageoArrives to work on time and consistently

FC RECEIVERoMust be able to interpret instructions from WMS and RF devices accurately and efficientlyoMust have a clear and thorough understanding of GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations in order to complete work in a safe, compliant, and efficient manneroMust work closely with the Fresh Cuts Department in order to receive all finished productoKnows when to report shorts, damages or defects to the receiving manageroUnderstands LIFO or FIFO methodology and knows how and where to store newly received productsoUse a pallet jack and/or stand up forklift when needed.oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoGood understanding of Warehouse layout in order to run productoAccurately locate items in Warehouse according to PO and other corresponding labelsoCommunicate consistently and efficiently with Receiving teamoHandle and package product carefully and in a sanitary manneroMust be able to build pallets proactively to prevent product damageoSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoResponsible for making sure the quality of the produce is good before it goes outoMust be able to enter data in an accurately detailed manneroArrives to work on time and consistentlyBIN AUDIToAccurately record not only the physical count but also the physical state of inventory locations.oResponsible for interfacing and supporting their fellow IC teammates including a team of ICoStrong organizational skills with a very high level of attention to detail.oAbility to learn and understand location/aisle/area naming conventions within the facility.oAbility to learn and understand receiving/picking/replenishment processes within the facility, specifically understanding the completion of system transactions and overall impact to inventory.oAbility to work well with others outside the department.oAbility to instruct other associates on the proper way of executing system transactions and perform documented procedures.oAbility to constantly life and move parts/boxes/containers as needed to complete physical countsoAbility to lift at least fifty pounds as required while completing physical audits.oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoProactive about communicating with Sanitation in regards to wasteoMust always follow all GMP and HACCP rules and regulations.oArrives to work on time and consistentlyJR. RECEIVERoUse a pallet jack and/or stand up forklift when needed.oLearn extensive produce product knowledge, in order to properly unload, sort, receive, inspect, and accept inbound deliveriesoSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoGood understanding of Warehouse layout in order to run productoAccurately place returned product in proper location in warehouse according to labelingoCommunicate consistently and efficiently with Returns teamoHandle and package product carefully and in a sanitary manneroUnderstand quality control procedure in order to inspect returned productsoMust be able to enter data in an accurately detailed manneroSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoCapable of assessing the accuracy of goods received by matching merchandise received to the POoKnows when to report shorts, damages or defects to the receiving manageroUnderstands LIFO or FIFO methodology and knows how and where to store newly received productsoExamine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defect and date on invoice or other forms.oArrives to work on time and consistently

QUALITY CONTROLoExamine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defect and date on invoice or other forms.oEnter return information into the computer.oLearn extensive produce product knowledge in order to proper access the quality of a product being receivedoAble to identify and report any item conditions discrepancies to the QC ManageroMaintains sanitation standardsoCapable of assessing the accuracy of goods received by matching merchandise received to the POoKnows when to report shorts, damages or defects to the receiving or QC manageroUnderstands LIFO or FIFO methodology and knows how and where to store newly received productsoExamine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defect and date on invoice or other forms.oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoProactive about communicating with Sanitation in regards to wasteoMust always follow all GMP and HACCP rules and regulations.oMaintains sanitation standardsoSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuriesoProactive about communicating with Sanitation in regards to wasteoArrives to work on time and consistently
