- Evaluate and treat residents within 24 hours of physician referral
- Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval
- Provide direct therapy services based on individualized care plans
- Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and team meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations
- Educate caregivers and staff on maintenance programs for residents
- Assist with ordering and recommending adaptive equipment
- Support discharge planning and help residents achieve maximum independence
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of California (in good standing)
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred
- Skilled in computer documentation systems (e.g., NetHealth, PointClickCare)
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work positively and collaboratively with residents, staff, and families
