Senior Associate Portfolio Manager (Finance)

Major Duties:

* Provides various functions related to administrative and investment aspects of accounts to support the portfolio managers in the overall management of their accounts.

* Participates in the planning of the overall portfolio structure utilizing security analytical information, economic factors, and bond market conditions in conjunction with the client's investment objectives.

* Assists the portfolio managers in the implementation of the portfolio strategy
through security selection, sector allocation, and duration decisions in relation to the portfolio performance index and current TNT Fixed Income policy.

* Assists the portfolio managers in the monitoring of the portfolio returns to determine results and the portfolio's strategy to determine appropriateness given changing bond markets and client objectives.

* Broadens knowledge of fixed income portfolio management through various sources

Knowledge:

* Knowledge of investment theory and applications, usually acquired through related work experience and course work, to support portfolio managers with administrative and investment objectives for a client.

Experience:

* Minimum of 3-4 years of general investment experience.

* In-depth technology skills to include advanced experience with Excel, Bloomberg and other tools, preferably, Perform. Experience with Aladdan and Python strongly preferred.

Salary Range:
$99,600 - 169,200 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
