Job Summary
To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Accountant located in Austin, Tx.
Reporting to the Accounting Director, the Senior Accountant will ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data as well as assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to ensure accurate data in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.
What a typical day looks like:

Prepare and post top-side journal entries related to Corporate Accounting.

Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and perform variance analysis on certain critical accounts.

Assist with preparation of financials and related workpaper required for 8K/earnings release.

Correspond directly with internal and external auditors and provide requested schedules to auditors to support necessary audit requirements.

Perform technical research on various accounting issues and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP.

Oversight of other general departmental-specific responsibilities including, among others, variance analyses tied to monthly close and compliance with the internal control requirements of SOX.

Support special projects as necessary, such as purchase accounting matters related to merger and acquisition activity.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience and training.

4+ years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role at a public company or a public accounting firm

Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and its application are essential.

Good time management skills and should be able to remain organized under periods of reporting pressure.

Ability to collaborate with senior management, corporate tax, external auditors, internal auditors, and various departments within the company.

Ability to think independently, perform own research on issues, and come up with suggested resolutions to be presented to supervisor.

Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Here are a few preferred experiences (not required):

Big Four experience is a plus.

CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.

Experience with the accounting ERP system and experience in OneStream is a plus.

Experience with Workiva is a plus.
