Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations by safely and efficiently moving goods, materials, and products. This role involves operating gas or electric-powered forklifts to load, unload, stack, and transport materials within the warehouse and onto/out of transport vehicles. The Forklift Operator will also perform safety checks on equipment, maintain accurate inventory records, and report discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts (gas and electric) to move, load, unload, and stack raw materials, finished goods, and other items.
  • Transfer goods and materials between incoming and outbound shipments.
  • Perform daily safety inspections and report any equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory documentation and track material movement.
  • Support warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • May provide training, guidance, and leadership to junior warehouse staff.
  • Identify process improvements and make recommendations to enhance efficiency.
  • Independently manage assignments and act as a subject matter resource within the team.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Recognized expertise in warehouse operations, material handling, and forklift operation.
  • Ability to train, delegate, and oversee daily warehouse activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; capable of handling non-routine challenges.
  • Initiative to implement improvements and optimize workflows.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as a team leader/mentor.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of warehouse experience, including at least 4 years in forklift operations; OR
  • Associate degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant functional experience.
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures, warehouse systems, and inventory control processes.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $41,900.00 - $67,100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
