Producer - HCC TV (Part Time) (Education)
SUMMARY
Responsible for Electronic Field Production (EFP) photography, non-linear editing (NLE) of video, and production of programs for HCCTV in a fast-paced technical environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Write, research, oversee and develop television productions, special video projects, news and feature stories, promotional announcements; fully produce, direct, coordinate and upload videos for HCC website.
2. Shoot in-field for television productions, special projects, news and feature stories, and promotional announcements; provides technical support and expertise for in-studio or in-field video shoots.
3. Perform post-production activities to include editing video for television productions, special projects, news or feature stories or promotional announcements. Supports team in striking and building sets for show production.
4. Serve as a representative for the department and college, fostering relationships with the public, other academic departments, community organizations, and supporting various operational needs of the TV studio.
5. May work early morning, nights and weekends as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree in Film, Television, Media Programming, Production or a related field required
EXPERIENCE
2 years' experience directly related to media, media production, or cable television production required
Previous EFP camera, NLE editing, or graphics creation preferred
Experience in an academic setting preferred
