Production Supervisor - Cold Forming (Finance)



Lead the team that shapes precision components at the heart of our business. As a Production Supervisor - Cold Forming at MacLean-Fogg, you'll oversee daily operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and efficiency come first. You'll guide a skilled team, ensure production targets are met, and drive improvements across a 3-shift operation that keeps our cold forming lines running strong.
Job Details
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
  • Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (depending on skills and experience)
  • Work Location: Onsite - Saegertown, PA
  • Travel: Less than 10%
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead production employees across assigned cold forming operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output
  • Oversee production on assigned shift and coordinate handoffs across all 3 shifts to maintain seamless operations
  • Provide training, coaching, and daily guidance to help employees strengthen their skills and meet performance expectations
  • Monitor production data and key metrics to ensure quantity, quality, and efficiency goals are achieved
  • Quickly identify and address issues with equipment, materials, or processes; collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime
  • Work closely with planning and scheduling to align staffing, materials, and production needs
  • Support inventory management by ensuring materials availability without excess
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workplace using 5S principles
  • Foster continuous improvement initiatives and encourage problem-solving at all levels
  • Complete and review production documentation (shift reports, inventory logs, safety checks) accurately and on time
  • Take on additional responsibilities to support cold forming operations and business goals
Skills/Competencies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse production team across shifts
  • Excellent communication - able to coordinate effectively across departments and shifts
  • Solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to adapt priorities as production needs change
  • Ability to analyze production data and drive improvements
Qualifications (Required)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or production (cold forming experience strongly preferred), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Certifications or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related areas
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Required to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
