CNA for assisted living (Healthcare)



The primary responsibility of an Assisted Living CNA is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with their care plans and under the direction of a RN Supervisor, or Director of Staff Development. To be a leader that sets the standard of care.

๐Ÿ“‹ Essential Duties

  • Resident Identification: Verify identity before administering treatments or meals

    .

  • Documentation: Record entries in PCC.

    .

  • Health Monitoring: Report changes in residents' conditions and incidents to supervisors promptly

    .

  • Privacy & Compliance: Maintain confidentiality of health information and report any unauthorized access attempts

    .

  • Care Procedures: Perform only those procedures for which training has been provided

    .

  • Room Preparation: Ensure rooms are ready for new residents, including bed setup and personal belongings inventory
  • Resident Support: Assist with packing and transferring residents when moving rooms or being discharged

    .

๐Ÿง  Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • CNA certification (or equivalent) often required
  • Experience working with elderly or assisted living populations
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
๐Ÿงช Additional Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as delegated by RN and per Medication Administration Record (MAR)
  • Participate in recreational activities to support residents' mental and physical health
  • Provide emotional support to residents and their families
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment

Cross-training is common, and CNAs may perform in Memory Care or assist with other duties depending on community needs. Apply
