In 1898, nine ranchers in northwestern Nebraska started Stockmens National Bank of Rushville, Nebraska. Fast-forward 125 years, Stockmens National Bank – now known as Security First Bank – has grown to encompass 25 bank branch locations, 12 insurance offices, one loan production office, and employs nearly 300 people throughout Nebraska and southwest South Dakota.

Looking for a full-time summer career where you have evenings off to do the things that you enjoy? Do you like a professional office environment with federal holidays and weekends off? Shifts are Monday-Friday with a Saturday rotation, likely one per month. Potential of continued part-time employment after the summer season.

Role:

Interns will work with bank team members to support our goal of fulfilling the financial needs of our communities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Job responsibilities will vary based on the job.
  • Interns will be provided with a job description that matches the position they are filling and can expect daily duties to closely match that of the full-time incumbents of the position.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Management:

  • Learn in-depth and understand the day-to-day responsibilities of a full-time team member.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and/or Experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Interpersonal Skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

While performing this job the employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 24lbs. It is frequently necessary to bend, squat, reach above the shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance and push/pull equipment. Firm grasping/fine manipulation with the right/left hand is necessary. In an 8-hour day, the employee can expect to sit about 6 hours.
